Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. Aloe vera, sometimes described as a “wonder plant,” is a short-stemmed shrub. Aloe vera has been used for centuries for its healing properties.Aloe vera having more then 500 species.
Aloe Vera is basically from the Arabian Peninsula but it grows wild in tropical semi- tropical and arid climates. Aloe Vera is very helpful it is use in wide area like for decorative purpose,medical product , beverages ,cosmetics etc.
Aloe vera is a very short-stemmed plant It can be grow 60–100 centimetres (24–39 inches) tall, spreading by offsets.it’s leves are thick and fleshy and it can be green to grey-green in some varieties the white flecks on their the upper and loweer stem surfaces.
How to care Aloe Vera Plant
Placing Spot :- Every plant has dedicated spot to place where it can be grow healthy and well. Aloe vera can be place in sunny spot and it can be fine also in indirect sunlight.
For outdoor you can place the aloe vera outside in summer months as long as there is no chance of forst because the aloe is 95 percent is made of water so forst will be freez them. If you live in warm area so place the aloe vera where the indirect sunlight comes (almost 6 -8 Hours per day).
Note :- Don’t place Aloe Vera in full shade because it will not thrive ,so make sure there’s least a little sunlight will appear in Aloe Vera in room or where you place the aloe vera.
Watering :- Aloe vera plant is low maintenance plant it don’t require to much water.Wait until unless the soil is not dry at least two inches below the surface. In the month of april through October it doesn’t require daily watering. You can do watering once in every week and twice per month in winter
If you repot your aloe vera wait for 2-3 days before watering .This gives the root times to adjust in new soil.Don’t do overwatering it may lead to root rot and fungus so you should have to avoid this.
Fertilizing :- In the aloe vera grow in session from April through September it’s grow vigorously .During this period if you provide some fertiliser’s twice it will be good for aloe vera.
Note :- Don’t provide fertiliser in the winter session because during this period plant cant use fertiliser for growing.
Be aware from insects :- Mealy bugs are dangerous for aloe vera plant they suck on the sap from aloe vera plant. For prevent the mealy bugs you just need to use natural or non toxic pesticides on your aloe vera plant
